About Peter Mc Grath
Finding the right therapist is a lot like finding a good pair of shoes—it has to be the right fit, or you won’t get very far. Research consistently shows that a strong, trusting relationship between therapist and client is the single greatest predictor of successful outcomes, often outweighing the specific “type” of therapy used. I am an integrative therapist with a background in Person-Centred Therapy (PCT) and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). While techniques are helpful tools, I believe the most vital ingredient for change is the therapeutic bond. In our sessions, my primary focus is creating a safe, non-judgmental space where you feel heard. By blending the warmth and empathy of PCT with the practical, goal-oriented strategies of CBT, we can tackle challenges at your pace. I’m here to work alongside you, ensuring you feel supported as we navigate your story together.
